Hello everyone! Once again, I'm slow in dishing out the news. It's not like I haven't been on the computer at all, as I've been working on updating my Dance Notes (no significant changes yet to the website). Hopefully within the next week, more dances will be up, and the site will also be a little easier to navigate.

How was my week? Purdy good, if I may say so myself. I got my driver's license last week when Grant and his mom came down to visit (we had a nice visit, btw!), so I've been driving to and fro in "my" F150. Just today I cleaned a house in Chickasha (about 30 mi from Marlow) for most of the morning and part of the afternoon. When not cleaning, I'm in a garden, planting, preping the soil, and taking care of plants, for a vegetable stand that's going to open some time in April.

Driving a standard is pretty interesting. I got practice stopping and starting on a hill, when I went through the McDonalds drivethru the other day; it's on a slope, and I almost slid into the car behind me, and finally had to rev the engine pretty hard to get up the incline. I've also been dreading those lights that they strategically place at the top of a hill; crawling up to the red ones have been the best bet so far.

While I enjoy the "freedom" (haha) of driving, it's good to remember to "lay up for myself treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys..." because "where my treasure is, there my heart will be also." F150's do rust.

TGIS!

Rachel

Hi all,

Sorry to take soooo long in getting a REAL post up. You're so patient. Things have been kind of interesting lately, as I'm sure you've already read on Adrienne's Xanga. It was nice having Grant down here for a visit, as I was the chaparone and 'got' to hang out with A' and G' the majority of the time. Although, it got to feeling a little like...babysitting...hehe...after a while; if you've been around two people head-over-heels for each other for an extended period of time, you know what I'm talking about. They got their fair share of teasing, and promised to do the same for me whenever I'm in the same spot. '...Thanks, guys.'

CHRISTmas we spent at our grandparents, singing from the hymn book, and spending some time in prayer--two things that haven't been as appreciated in the past by some parties, so never were considered a big part in the gatherings. This year was different since it was just us and our grandparents. Something we've missed--esp. last year, since my mom, sis and I went to Nashville for the MIA conference over the holidays--is the worship time with our believing relatives.

Um, let's see. Monday was my first visit to the local newspaper office, to file an application. Right now I'm trying to find a job where I can use all my artiste stuff, and earn mulah at the same time. However after the oh-so-brief visit to the Marlow Review, that job kind of lost it's savoure...so I have a few more places in mind to check out. Like the local internet service provider, who also does sign graphics and other neat graphic designs.

There's the bits for this week...

Blessings,
Rach

Ok, I admit, I've been procrastinating! Here's my first post. More later.
